1. The Xanadu Meghadhootam, Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu
This boutique hideaway is situated in the upper region of Kodaikanal and is just 4 kms from the Kodai lake. Each villa comprises of 1 Family suite – a set of 2 rooms and a premium double room which can accommodate 6 adults. The villa is surrounded by lush green forests and is such a far cry from city life. The charming verandah overlooking the garden and the rolling hills is an ideal spot to sip on a cup of tea and some lip=smacking snacks. It makes for a perfect destination for Isocation.
This opulent villa is a two-acre property on the gentle slope of a quiet hill outside Calangute. Built with Balinese influences, this villa overlooks huge private gardens filled with fruit trees, a mini-walking garden, a koi pond and a waterfall. 3. La Villa Bethany, Landour, Mussoorie
Nestled in an acre of oak, pine and deodar trees, this villa is an old English cottage restored to its former glory. Located at 7600 feet, you get spectacular views of the Upper Himalayas and the Doon Valley. There is a constant play between the elements and the vistas keep changing to enchant the temporary inhabitants of the house. The villas is surrounded by history.
4. The Blackbuck Lodge, Velavdar, Gujarat
The lodge is one of the most amazing wildlife resorts in Western India. Sitting comfortably amidst the savannah, the superbly appointed cottages offer an opportunity to luxuriate in the wilderness. Lodged in a luxurious room with wide-ranging modern conveniences, gaze out of the deck at the changing colours of the grasslands and the wealth of wildlife. The elegant Indian antelope, called blackbuck, ventures close to the cottages, while globally-threatened birds can be seen in the bushes.
