Located only about 40 minutes from Ajmer Station, within the heart of Pushkar’s breathtaking views lies this massive property – Pushkar Resorts, where I began my my curated travel through Plush Escapes. The resort houses spacious rooms spread across the enormous greenery that it hosts and features a variety of amenities like expansive pools, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a games room and a dedicated spa with jacuzzi and sauna. I had my share of a two-day relaxing stay here, just before I headed to the Bedouin camel village for a photography project, and it was great to simply have discovered this spot right in the heartland of Pushkar.
The resort is surprisingly silent, and is surrounded by fantastic spectacles of the hills on all sides. There is a little farm of Sewara Organics right within the property and the restaurant follows a farm-to-plate philosophy, so you get some of the best organic produce when you order literally anything from the menu. I totally recommend the bass fish fillet with lemon coriander dressing, and their meatball spaghetti is also to die for. The rooms are spacious and the area features loads of open spaces for long walks.
On the next day, before the start of my hectic shoot, I decided to book myself a deep tissue massage at the spa, and it was the best decision of my holiday. With the best oils and rosewater, trained masseuses and state-of-the art sauna room, I never wanted to separate myself from the property. A 30-minute drive from the resort takes you to the ancient mythical lakes of Pushkar where there is always a bustle of energy and commotion, loads of souvenir and goodie shops, along with magic in the air!
Pushkar Resorts is ideal for corporate holidays and family getaways. It’s a no-nonsense hotel that provides you with some of the finest services and most comfortable beds, that will make you never want to leave.
Highs:
- The in-house spa has well-trained masseuses, and the jacuzzi and sauna are sure to leave you refreshed.
- The restaurant serves literally everything from across the world, and you won’t be disappointed by the room service.
Lows:
- There is no WiFi in the rooms, it is only available in the lobby area.
