We've searched high and low for perfection and we're off to give you a taste of what 48 hours look like at some of the most exquisite stays the country has to offer. Stay tuned for our new series!
Day 1
2:00 PM: Post a 20 mins trot from Manali Bus Depot we checked-in at this charming cottage by the riverside. Our home for the next 2 days!
2:30 PM: Lunch time by the riverside. Feasting on culinary delights made from the freshest vegetables that are grown in-house. Truly satiating!
4:00 PM: Walk to the riverside and a game of volleyball. Post a 2-1 win, head out to pick fruits and vegetables from the organic farm at the property. Had a great time learning about the various methods of organic farming from the experts.
7:00 PM: Time to sit back and unwind with some indoor games after all that time outdoors. Quite a collection here - carrom-board, pool, Monopoly, Battleship, chess, etc. Truly relaxing.
8:30 PM: It's dinner time! Gorged on palate pleasing delicacies made by the head chef - simply splendid.
Day 2
6:00 AM: Woke up fresh as a daisy! Morning yoga & meditation by the 100-acre alpine forest - the best stress-buster!
9:00 AM: Post breakfast we head to the nearby stream for some 'fly fishing' tips from the experts. You might even get a Trout fry for lunch post a successful angling session.
11:00 AM: Time for some serious adventure now. Mountain biking by the forest sides for half an hour. (PS: the activity is strictly for the adults.)
1:00 PM: Working on some assignments by the riverside. Some wine, some munchies, a babbling river and absolute peace.. What more can we ask for? Lunch also arrives here in exactly an hour.
3:00 PM: Paragliding by the Solang Valley. (You need to tell the hosts to book this in advance.)
6:00 PM until bedtime: Bonfire camping and barbecue. Enjoyed a platter of mouth-watering delicacies. Good food, great company and a gorgeous resort - this is the good life! ( PS: Bonfires can be arranged on prior request only.)
Day 3
7:00 AM: Took a stroll around the property. The fresh air and alpine forests just makes you forget the 'concrete jungle' you come from.
9:00 AM: Breakfast in bed. A sumptuous feast laid out in the cottage room. The rooms are done very delicately using ample amount of wood & recyclable materials giving you the feel of the hills.
12:00 PM: Check out. Did not want to leave this charming property and warm hosts. Will definitely be coming back soon.
